St. John’s Outreach Ministry Group has continued to pursue an excellent variety of projects. As December came to an end, we proceeded with our regular “12 Days of Christmas” collection to provide wine for the rural parishes in Kenya served by Fr. Jesse Mwaniki, who attended St. John’s while studying in Springfield some years ago.

With the arrival of Lent, we again identified an important project of Episcopal Relief & Development’s international efforts. It is “Seeds, Tools, and Training” to assist persons in areas of food insecurity to develop improved methods of providing for themselves and their families. A donation of any size will be appreciated, and a contribution of $45 will cover one individual share! The Outreach Group was pleased to furnish treats for the February 18 coffee hour to launch the project.

Another important Easter project is supplying food for the three families we continue to support on our most significant occasions. Sign-up sheets for foods you will furnish are posted on the Outreach bulletin board!

The Outreach Ministry Group appreciates the thoughtful, excellent support of our parishioners!
